Dinner? Done.

 

Struck Pinterest gold again and found an incredibly easy dinner recipe.  It was in fact so easy I threw it together during my lunch break and forgot all about it until I returned home six hours later and dinner was ready and smelling delicious!

Wanted to give you a look at what it looks like, at least for me, to have no meal plan and stick to a budget for groceries each week.   I’m trying to eat healthy (goes along great with working out, from my last blog post, http://blog.evansville.edu/blog-1/bid/396457/Freshman-Fails-4-things-I-would-tell-my-freshman-self), so with that in mind here’s what grocery shopping resulted in for me yesterday:

I know it sounds contradictory, but one of my favorite favorite parts of college is my ability to educate myself. I'm on my own, nobody's holding my hand, and so this independence can be used to learn all sorts of new things.

Top 6 Things I Miss about High School

 

When I first considered what I miss about high school, I thought my list would be longer than six points.  I thought, life was so much easier back then!  Less to do, more free time, less pressure . . . life was good.  Upon further reflection, I realized that I don’t miss as much of high school as I thought.  College is pretty fabulous.  I don’t have to wake up at 6:30 every morning, I get to enjoy the independence of living on my own, I have less class time—albeit more homework—and my weeks are full of exciting and fun educational and (sometimes) recreational activities.  However, there are a few things (6, in my opinion) that make me wish—for about .2 seconds—that I were back in high school.
