Blogging, budgeting, and back to classes

Classes have started again and truthfully, I was genuinely excited for them to begin this year.  I’ve actually been back on campus since the beginning of August for high school football rotations in the athletic training program.  So for the past three-and-a-half weeks my days were filled with reading, tv watching, and football practices.  It really hit me that classes were a welcome change when I began to get annoyed with being able to identify commercials just by hearing them.

Something new, something old

I don't try new things as often as I should.  But that feeling of not knowing what to expect is a high that I enjoy each time there is an opportunity.  I blogged a few months ago about "Firsts" and so many new things have happened since then, here's another look at first-time happenings!

Over the past week, in just about 100 hours the UE community donated 351 t-shirts to be sent to Haiti over spring break!  This was an incredible event and I was amazed throughout by the support of so many people across campus!

Firsts

This semester has started off with a lot of firsts...and as nerve-racking or as awkward as it may be to do something new, it also stirs up a rush that comes with doing something for the first time.  Our sophomore athletic training class made a basketball team for IMs and our first game this past Thursday was the first basketball game in years, or for some people, ever!
