Somebody Pinch Me
Senior year. It's here.
Somebody pinch me.
The whirlwind of classes, homework, and friends has started. My music major requirements have begun. I'm writing this first post from a practice room in Krannert Hall of Fine Arts. I must say this is quite appropriate. My violin and I have spent hours in these rooms and will even more this year as I prepare for playing a solo with the University Symphony Orchestra, my senior recital, and various other performances and gigs. I often practice for 20-30 minutes, then take a "break" by doing some homework. This break will consist of my first post!
I'm usually excited to start a new school year, but this year I am especially so. I wonder if the freshmen think I'm crazy. I've been so bubbly and talking to as many as I can, especially the ones in the Newman Club and the music department. I'm so happy they're here; as a senior, I know what an awesome decision they made by choosing UE!
I'm super excited for everything about this year. My apartment and my roommates. My classes. My music performances. My senior honors project. My leadership positions in organizations. I want to live up every moment I still have at UE!
However, it won't be all fun and games. My workload hit me in the face yesterday. I will have to use my time management skills like I never have before--though I'm quite good at time management, if I do say so myself. I'm ready for the challenge. Senior year, only one more year--bring it on.
