The key word for me this semester is balance.  It's my senior year, and I want to fit it all in:  friends, fun, classes, my honors project, violin, music therapy practicums, homework, learning, EVERYTHING that makes college college!  Whew.  It's a lot and quite the challenge.  But I know that being healthy is more than just eating my veggies.  I try to balance my studying time, music practice, my social life, staying healthy physically, and my spiritual life.  

This is how I do it (to stay healthy, happy, and sane):  I get 7-7.5 hours of sleep.  Usually no more and no less.  I workout on average two or three times a week, though that varies by each weeks' busyness.  I go to church every Sunday and a couple times during the week (I'm thankful there's a church within walking distance that offers Mass every day).  I study in between classes and in almost all of my spare time.  I schedule my violin practice into each day.  And I eat my veggies.  It's a lot of work but it's well worth it.  

Today, I went for a run, did some homework, played violin at Mass on campus in Neu Chapel, did some more homework and practiced violin, went to the movies to see Restless Heart (it was amazing!), did some more homework, attended a meeting, and now I'm writing this post and eating cake-in-a-mug.  

This week will be full of studying, practicing, meetings, and a Matt Maher concert ( :D ). I'm pretty excited.  Thanks for reading my random ramblings! Peace out until next time.
