Secret Time: Part 2
I was talking to a family friend recently, and he asked me how I was doing. "Tired," I replied. He said "During college, you never get un-tired."
So at least I have that to look forward to.
This is the second major secret I have to share: During college, the nights of consistently getting your recommended 8 hours of sleep go flying out the window. Once you really get into the swing of things, you sometimes just have to hope for 6 hours of sleep and settle for 4. If this is something that worries you, do not be afraid! Because A) There is this amazing thing called caffeine to help you out, and B) you will adjust pretty quickly. There are still nights where I can get everything done and get a nice night of sleep, but for the most part I settle for less than what I would like.
If it sounds like I'm complaining, I'm not! I'm chasing my dreams, and I'm surrounded by tremendous people and having awesome experiences. When you get to college, sometimes you have to sacrifice things to accomplish other, more important things. So while I'm not getting as much sleep as I did during the summer or during high school, I wouldn't trade the experiences I'm having for a few more hours of sleep each night. I just thought I would give you a heads up: You will come to college, and you will not get enough sleep, and you will (hopefully) have the time of your life.
