This semester has started off with a lot of firsts...and as nerve-racking or as awkward as it may be to do something new, it also stirs up a rush that comes with doing something for the first time. Our sophomore athletic training class made a basketball team for IMs and our first game this past Thursday was the first basketball game in years, or for some people, ever!
We even came away with a win in our first game! But the best part is having fun and being able to spend time with these awesome people outside of classes!
Over the weekend I went home with my friend Morgan and shot a gun for the first time! Now if you count BB guns, airsoft guns, and paintball guns...well then it's still my first time shooting a gun. This was quite a step up from the squirt guns I'd used as a kid - even those powerful super soakers.
On our way back to campus on Sunday evening I saw an absolutely gorgeous sunset here in Evansville, probably the first one I've been able to see in all it's magnificence across the open fields since coming to UE.
College is full of firsts...and they may just be the best learning experiences you'll have.
