Day Trip to New Harmony

This past weekend, some of my friends and I enjoyed a wonderful day trip to New Harmony, a small town about 45 minutes from UE's campus. Originally the site of Robert Owen's Utopian Community, New Harmonie, the town is now a local tourist destination. There are still many remnants of that age and it is a fun place to explore!

Spring is also one of the best times to visit New Harmony, with all of the flowers and trees. We enjoyed a picnic lunch next to a lake and walked around the town. We even found an older playground with a merry-go-round! (The best playgrounds are the old ones because they aren't as safe!)

The pink dogwoods were especially beautiful here! I highly recommend New Harmony to any student looking to get away for a day trip! It's really not that far and a lot of fun.
